PRworks secret revealed

prworks logo small PRworks secret revealedWhy do top companies like Globe Telecom and Nokia Philippines along with emerging SMEs like GT Cosmetics prefer PRworks as their public relations partner in the Visayas and Mindanao?
When PRworks managing director Doris Mongaya first talked about Vis-Min engagements with representatives of these firms, their objective was clear.

“Looking beyond Metro Manila, the corporate world looks forward to the Visayas and Mindanao as emerging economic powerhouses and a growing market in the decades to come. GT Cosmetics – the Cebu-based maker of carrot, papaya, and whitening soaps – likewise reached out to the Vis-Min market first before entering Metro Manila,” Mongaya pointed out.

The community press and the vibrant blogging communities in central and southern Philippines are important to their communication efforts. They wanted to connect and interact with the network of journalists and bloggers we are building in key Visayas and Mindanao urban centers like Cebu, Ilo-ilo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Zamboanga, and Davao cities.

“Efforts to build networks within the media and blogging communities in Vis-Min through the years has positioned PRworks to be their preferred partners. Engaging with PRworks translated into successful communication campaigns in central and southern Philippines,” Mongaya bared.

To delight clients, Mongaya pushes her lean staff to go the extra mile in making PR work with such passion and heart one could not see in others. As honorary Russian Consul Armi Lopez Garcia recently told a potential client, “Di gyud ka biyaan ni Doris.”

But what motivates and fires up our passion? What is the PRworks secret, one might ask.

“Maybe, this has something to do with our having been involved in political and social advocacy to uplift lives in the early 80s. It has instilled a commitment to help make our society better through the decades even through the business of public relations,” said Mongaya.

Thus today, PRworks is committed to the vision “Managing Perceptions to Uplift Lives.”

“This is the reason for our engagement with World Vision to help get poor, deserving kids an education. This is the reason behind efforts to help the National Nutrition Council (NNC) 7 build the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development (MIND) 7. This is the reason we went out of way to help the Department of Tourism (DOT) 7 organize the Tourism and Heritage Information Network (THINK) 7. This is the reason we are supporting efforts to organize the Visayas Blogging Summit,” said Mongaya.

This is not just corporate social responsibility or being a good corporate citizen. “Making PR work to uplift lives” is our corporate vision.

“In the process, we fulfill our mission of ‘Making PR Work for Clients.’ We believe the best PR means engaging clients, journalists, social media communities, even government in campaigns to uplift lives. For us in PRworks, this is our open secret,” Mongaya said.
